Groundwater awarded 4 star dealer status by Manitou (UK) Ltd

The Manitou Service Quality Charter was established in 2003 in order to introduce a uniform set of service standards for dealers to strive for and maintain. In order to help its dealer network reach these quality standards, Manitou has provided a support programme designed to facilitate best practise within the industry.

Every couple of years, Manitou carries out a thorough assessment at each of its dealer premises to evaluate standards, grade performance and provide feedback and recommendations in the form of a comprehensive report.

The evaluation report takes into account dealer competencies under the following areas:

  • Human Organisation
  • Training, Information and Skills Management
  • Resource Management
  • Workshop and Customer Monitoring and Management
  • Spare Parts Warehouse Organisation and Management
  • Brand Image and External Communications

Based on the outcome of the assessment, Groundwater Lift Trucks were awarded 4 star status for their efforts, the highest rating achievable under the Service Quality Charter. What makes this award even more significant is the fact that Groundwater are the only 4 star dealership to be awarded this level of status in the UK.

Commenting on the award, Peter Smyth, Manitou's Area Sales Manager, said: I am delighted that Groundwater has become the UK's first 4 star dealer which is a measure of their dedication, professionalism and commitment to the highest levels of customer service."
