Groundwater Lift Trucks Ltd is a family owned partnership founded in 1973 by Ivan and Kathleen Groundwater. The business is located in Stonehaven with a purpose built workshop and stores extending to 6,000 square feet, a purpose built showroom/ storage area extending to 17,000 square feet and refurbished and extended offices at 1,500 square feet. There is also a depot at Perth with 1,500 square feet of workshop area.

The main function is to provide sales, hire and service to a wide range of mechanical handling equipment. This includes sales of new and used Toyota and Manitou forklift trucks and telescopic handlers, Combilift multi-directional trucks, and Kalmar counterbalance forklifts. We also deal with short and long term hire of the complete range of machines available, as well as provision of service contracts, ad hoc repairs to all types of handling equipment and supply of spare parts to trade and retail users.

Our customers are wide ranging and include Paper handling, Fishing, Farming, Haulage, Farm Produce, Engineering, Factory (production), Oil Industry onshore and off shore.

Our geographical franchise areas are:
TOYOTA - Fife, Tayside, Angus, Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire up to south of Elgin, and Shetland.
MANITOU - Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire up to south of Elgin, including Shetland.
COMBILIFT and KALMAR - Fife, Tayside, Aberdeenshire, Inverness and Shetland.

We employ approximately 35 staff with a wide range of skills and responsibilities in engineering, sales and administration
